KEHS Scout Troop Hosts First Overnight Camp
Kirtipur, November 16, 2024 — The Kantipur English High School (KEHS) Scout Troop successfully organized its first-ever overnight scout camp in Kirtipur, with 18 scout cadets participating in the milestone event.
The camping experience offered a variety of educational and engaging activities, including a first-aid treatment course, multi-tactical games, a bonfire, and other team-building exercises. These activities aimed to instill the core values of scouting, such as leadership, teamwork, and self-reliance, while also fostering camaraderie among the cadets.
Students expressed their excitement and gratitude for the unique opportunity to learn and grow in an outdoor setting. “It was an unforgettable experience,” said one student. “Not only did we have fun, but we also learned skills that will help us in real-life situations.”
The camp served as a platform to introduce the young cadets to the deeper principles of scouting, encouraging them to embrace responsibility and community service. The initiative also highlighted KEHS’s commitment to holistic education, blending academic learning with character development.
Parents and teachers commended the school for organizing the enriching program, which many hope will become a regular event in the years to come. The KEHS Scout Troop plans to host more such camps and activities in the future, continuing its mission to shape well-rounded and socially responsible students.
